The restoration work - continued
The bridges, train and the escapement are completely disassembled. We will follow Thomas Prescher, starting on the dial side with the keyless works.
The dial side
Das Federhaus mit Malteser Stellung, die Einzelteile und die originale gebläute Feder. Diese verleiht dem Werk zwar keine höhere Gangreserve als 24 Stunden, wird aber im Werk belassen.
The mainspring barrel with maltese (or geneva) stopwork, the parts of the "maltese cross" and the blued steel mainspring spring. The mainspring is original; it will not give more than 24 hours power reserve, but it is left in the movement.
Nun wird nun die Brücke des Kleinbodenrades und Zwischenrades entfernt.
The third wheel and bridge are removed, as is the intermediate winding wheel.

Kronrad und Zwischenrad von oben. Eine der Kronradschrauben ist ohne Gewinde in der Platine, das eingenietete Stück der Kronradbrücke bietet der Schraube keinen Halt bietet.

After the repair of the parts - the assembly
Nach der Reinigung wird mit der Montage der Aufzugspartie begonnen.
cleaning, the assembly of the keyless work starts.
Danach folgt die Zeigerstellung, mit Kronrad und Zwischenrad.
Then the hand-setting section is added, including clutch, clutch lever, winding pinion and 1st & 2nd intermediate wheels. Followed by the crown wheel, intermediate winding wheel, third wheel and the bridge.
Danach werden die Füsse der Brücken und das Räderwerk montiert.
Now the feet for the bridges and the going train are added.
Die erste und zweite Brücke in neuem Glanz, beide werden angeschraubt.
The first and second bridge are attached, both shining again.
Der sogenannte Turm, mit Deckstein.
The boss (or tower), with cap jewel.
Die Käfigplatte, der Turm und der untere Hemmungskloben werden montiert. Durch die Politur erscheinen die Stahlteile schwarz (daher: Schwarzpolitur).
The cage's base plate, the tower and the lower escape bridge are mounted. All parts finished to a black polish, i.e., when turned correctly in the light, the parts will look black.

Direkt unter der Spiralklötzchenschraube der Stift zur Verhinderung des Überdrehens/Gallopierens.
Galoppieren ist ein Effekt, der bei Amplitudenänderung der Unruhe auftritt: bei einer zu großen Schwingung können zwei Zähne des Hemmungsrades passieren. Dadurch treten unweigerlich Änderungen des Gangs auf.
Chronometer escapements are apt to trip. Tripping, as applied to chronometer escapements, happens when there is too much amplitude and the escapement is unlocked a second time during the impulsing vibration. To prevent this condition an amplitude limiter is sometimes used. A pin is fitted to the outer coil of the hairspring and another pin is fitted to the balance arm. If the amplitude becomes too great the pin on the hairspring will hit the pin on the balance arm, thus limiting its amplitude.
